Just wanted to take moment to say I am very lucky father. I have a current Baylor Bear who is doing a fantastic job at being a great student, a highly contributing individual to her community, school, friends, soriety and family, but most of all for being a wonderful daughter. There is no doubt that the $$$ of a college education can be up there, but thanks to her hard work in high school and during the 1st two years of college, her acedemic achievements and scholarship awards have made it a lot easier. Thanks sweet daughter for all your hard work and achievements. Love you always, Dad.
If you have a child in school, encourage them to do their very best in their studies. What they learn and achieve during their school years will benifit them the rest of their lives. School grades will follow them around forever (like my dog wanting a dog bone), and they will open up opportunities as well as close them.
You do not get a "do over" in school. You do not get to repeat high school or college at age 30 or even 50. As quoted from the movie Animal House, "its on your permanent record".
Unfortunately, I cannot take credit for my kids' scholastic achievements. Not only did she give them her brains and beauty, but their mother stayed on their butts to do well. Thanks Babe for all you do.
